New search features include
- Keep/Ignore Selectors
- Keep/Ignore Selectors are specified with a restricted CSS Selector syntax. The default is nav, header, footer. Previous Keep HTML settings are migrated to Ignore Selectors. This provides more flexibility in some cases than the Keep/Ignore HTML Strings (previously called Keep/Ignore Tags) setting.
- RDFa/Mircodata Support
- RDFa (meta property) and Microdata (meta itemprop) values are now available after fetching a document for use in Data From Field.
- Best Bets API
- Best Bets are now supported in the Dataload API, and are replicated along with other setttings.
- Other fixes
- Miscellaneous other bug fixes and enhancements to the crawl and search interfaces.
Availability
Search Appliance Version 25 is available to all Search Appliance and Parametric Search Appliance customers who have a current maintenance plan by following the menu System / System Setup / Update Software.
