The geographical coordinate functions allow for efficient processing
of latitude / longitude operations. They allow for the conversion of
a latitude/longitude pair into a single ``geocode'', which is a single
long value that contains both values. This can be used to
easily compare it to other geocodes (for distance calculations) or for
finding other geocodes that are within a certain distance.
