The withinmode apicp setting
(here)
defaults to the new mode
word span in Texis version 6. This means that a Metamorph
search using the w/N operator will by default search for within
N words, not characters.
The version 5 behavior can be restored by default by setting
the conf/texis.ini setting [Apicp] withinmode to
char radius.
