Common Name Matches Hostname

Lastly, the peer certificate's Common Name (CN) is checked against the hostname in the URL used to access the peer: if they do not match (case-insensitively), the verification fails. This check is handled by Vortex/Texis, not OpenSSL, and is only performed by clients (Vortex), not servers (Texis Monitor web server), as generally only servers have fixed, well-known hostnames and CNs that match.
