Lastly, the peer certificate's Common Name (CN) is checked
against the hostname in the URL used to access the peer: if they do
not match (case-insensitively), the verification fails. This check is
handled by Vortex/Texis, not OpenSSL, and is only performed by clients
(Vortex), not servers (Texis Monitor web server), as generally only
servers have fixed, well-known hostnames and CNs that match.
